Yesterday, I heard about a site called thredUP. Through this site, you can buy used clothes for your growing child from other parents, and sell the ones your child has outgrown. As quickly as our little girl goes through clothes at this stage, I think this sounds like a great idea. I'm constantly pulling clothes my daughter has outgrown out of her closet, and I feel like she's forever running out of clothes that fit her. I plan to look into it a little more, and I just might give it a try.
Few things inspire me more to do the work to get my debt paid off than seeing other people do the same thing. Sometimes on Saturday nights, I get a dose of inspiration through watching a show called "Princess" on CNBC. The premise of the show is that a woman who spends like there is no tomorrow gets a series of challenges designed to get her on track financially from Gail Vaz-Oxlade, a financial expert. I've seen Vaz-Oxlade in a similar series called "Til Debt Do Us Part," in which she helps couples do the same. I can't say I really get tips from the shows, but it does help to see others who owe large debt start feeling empowered to take control of it.
Hope you give us a try! The clothing you find on thredUP is hand-selected by our quality assurance team - great alternative to time consuming and sometimes risk buy/sell sites :) Good luck!

Thanks! I just spent a little more time on the site and was very pleased with what I saw -- both in price and assortment. It will likely be a couple weeks before I try it, but I'll do another post about it when I do. Thanks for info! —Cat.
